We looked through all her cookbooks but couldn't find a recipe. Now I can at least use the back of the check as a jumping on point with my family.

John
Originally from Pittsburgh, PAAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4279311869237231755.post-29887737481694800442014-03-09T15:08:56.230-04:002014-03-09T15:08:56.230-04:00To boost the flavor in the vintage recipe, mix 1/2...To boost the flavor in the vintage recipe, mix 1/2 cup peanut butter with 1 cup powdered sugar until crumbly (you can use a hand mixer). Press half the mixture into the crust before pouring in the filling. Then, top the pie with whipped cream, (I mix mine rather unsweetened, just a tbsp of powdered sugar to 1.5 cups cream) then sprinkle the remaining crumbs on top for decoration.@TheRvltnrydtr https://www.blogger.com/profile/04052735813805024020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4279311869237231755.post-25384081172423211652014-03-09T15:05:29.086-04:002014-03-09T15:05:29.086-04:00For the vintage one, if you want to boost the flav...For the vintage one, if you want to boost the flavor, mix 1/2 cup peanut butter with 1 cup powdered sugar with an electric mixer until crumbly. Put one half of the mixture in the bottom of the crust before adding the peanut butter filling. Then top with a layer of whipped cream and sprinkle the remaining crumbs on top. I promise you will not be disappointed.@TheRvltnrydtr https://www.blogger.com/profile/04052735813805024020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4279311869237231755.post-27988550135514414972011-08-17T14:33:58.930-04:002011-08-17T14:33:58.930-04:00Thanks, SugarBeam. It's basically a custard pie with a peanut butter flavor note.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11692999404326628908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4279311869237231755.post-78158481792262645992011-08-15T04:11:04.520-04:002011-08-15T04:11:04.520-04:00The vintage pie looks very intriguing!
